Cost

One server instead of a bill per service.

Hosted platforms charge for each service or for every second it runs. With FlatRun, a web app, its workers, database and preview environments share the server you already pay for.

Common questions.

Is FlatRun really free?

Yes. It is MIT licensed, for personal projects, commercial hosting and client work alike.

What does it cost to run?

The server it runs on. A small VPS costs a few dollars a month and holds as many projects as it has room for.

Will it stay free?

The platform stays free. Premium marketplace items and enterprise support may be offered alongside it.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes. Host client sites, build a hosting business, or run internal infrastructure. The MIT license allows it.

Can I modify the code?

Yes. Fork it, change it and distribute it. Contributions back are welcome but not required.
